SCOPE OF WORK: Luse teamed with other contractors a provide improvements to the City of Chicago’s Springfield Avenue Pumping Station (SAPS) in a three-phase project which lasted five years. Our team installed a total of over 3,000 lineal feet of mechanical insulation and 700 fittings.
VALUE ENGINEERING: Luse recommended mechanical insulation materials and jacketing across several systems in the facility (e.g., low press steam, condensate, refrigerant, process water, exhaust / mufflers), which resulted in energy savings, process control improvement, and noise reduction.
